Below, is an overview of my offerings for private sessions. Read it over, ask me any questions, and let me know if this seems like a good fit for you. If you’d like to move forward, book your first meeting or a consultation. If you enjoy and find benefit from our first session, we can schedule another one. There’s no commitment -- we can move forward one session at a time. I prefer to meet in person, but virtual meetings are also available. Anyone interested in the course, contact me :-) Overview: Yoga is a tool used to free the mind. And when we free our mind, we free our life. As human beings, we have grown up heavily influenced by our cultures, our heritage, our biology, our education, the media, and all the other phenomena we experience. Some of our experiences are interpreted as positive, some negative, but they all leave imprints on our psyche — like footprints in the snow (in yoga this is called a samskara). As both a student and teacher, I've steeped myself in the wisdom of yoga, which I use like a map to navigate my own life, and to shine light for the navigation of my fellow humans. There are many paths to the goal (yoga is just one tradition, just one path), but all paths lead to the same place. This place is freedom, love, connection, truth. It is being home no matter where you are. As we journey toward this goal (and the goal is the journey) we reveal greater truth and love in our lives, which allows us to walk the path of our human experience with greater wisdom, kindness, grace, effectiveness, and clarity in all we do. Yoga practices illuminate the mind and smooth over the foot prints in the snow that are no longer helpful for our growth. Yoga practices balance the nervous system and strengthen the body, so we can hold the light. When I meet with students for private sessions, we explore this path of the human experience together — merging and tailoring the teachings of yoga to your specific life. Depending on what you’d like to focus on and explore, we can practice toward mastery of the asanas (the postures), breath work (pranayama), meditation, or dive into philosophy, the yogic texts, and practical life applications. Yoga is skill in action. It is connection. We don’t practice yoga to get good at yoga, we practice yoga to get good at life; to be connected deeper to life. Home.
